This privacy and cookie policy explains which items of personal information, as data controller for Jac Gearing Garden Design, are collected from you whilst visiting my website.

This complies with current UK and European law which can be viewed on the UK government website re 2018 General Data Protection Regulation GDPR.

When you visit my website or blog, information is collected anonymously.

You cannot be identified personally from this information, and any data gathered from this site will not be associated with any other personally identifying information from any source.

Personal contact details are only collected upon your completion of the enquiry form within the ‘Contact’ page, or when you make contact by email, phone, or letter.

How Do I Use the Information Collected?

Any personal contact details collected will only be used in communication (both verbal and written) with you throughout the course of the design process. This information will be stored both physically on paper and electronically within computer records. It will be processed on a legal contract basis as it will be used within quotations and all other communication during the course of the design process.

With Whom Do I Share The Collected Information?

Personal contact details will only be shared with third parties involved in the design of your garden. For example, garden landscapers, and suppliers. This information is only shared after you have given consent when signing the garden design proposal.

How Long Do I Keep the Collected Information?

Once the garden design proposal has been accepted and agreed, any personal contact details recorded will be retained indefinitely to comply with legal obligations and resolution of any future disputes.

If there is no requirement to produce a design proposal or a design proposal has not been accepted, then personal contact details will only be retained for 90 days after which related computer records will be deleted and paper documentation destroyed.

Who Can Access Your Information and How is it Protected?

Personal details collected electronically are stored on a secure server. These details are regularly saved to Google Cloud storage. Google have obtained confirmation of compliance from the European Data Protection Authorities. Personal details collected physically , ie on paper, are stored within secure premises.

Access to both electronic or paper logged information is accessed on a restricted basis by Jac Gearing Garden Design.

What Are Cookies and How are they Used?
